Not an extensive section yet, as I don't care much for Mexican food. I do love Spanish food though, and hope to have more of that photographed and consumed soon. The veggie options at most Mexican, Central and South American places around here are basically "rice and beans," with the chance of the rice containing chicken and the beans containing lard (on top of being refried, as if that wasn't enough to put you off from the get-go). Veggie fajitas (sans-dairy) are usually what I go for.
Irazu (Costa Rican) Little potato roll-ups, can't remember name. Pretty good, but not my favorite. Liz and Luther both love this dish.
Chicago Diner Argentine Strudel appetizer. Very interesting and savory flavor and flaky crust.
Irazu (Costa Rican) Dinner special of fried yucca with a garlic sauce, rice and beans. Delicious! Be sure to get w/ oatmeal water shake.
Heartland Cafe Seitan burrito w/ rice, beans, and fixin's, served w/ tortillas. Not bad, but I'm really not a huge fan of this place.
Chicago Diner Black Bean Skillet (with brown rice, veggies, cornbread, salad.) Simple and yummy.
Blind Faith Cafe I think I mistakenly labeled this as Chicago Diner, but now that I think about it, it was more likely B.F. See what happens when you never update? This was decent.
Earwax Cafe A barbeque flavored seitan burrito with rice and beans and salsa. Pretty good as I recall.
Blind Faith Cafe Paella, a Spanish dish with a nice, complex flavor and lots of veggies with tasty rice.
Chicago Diner If I recall correctly, this was their version of Paella. Either way, tomato-ey and decent, but not as gourmet as Blind Faith's version.
More photos sit restless in folders, waiting to be added...
Izalco (Salvadorean) Rice/beans (blah), a fried plantain (bad) and a weird coleslaw-like salad (decent).
