EXPERIENCE

8/02 - 12/06 Scooterworks USA / Genuine Scooter Company | Chicago, IL
Directed all branding and the design of visual materials for two of the largest companies in their industry, including national ad campaigns, a total redesign of a 92-page full-color catalog, quarterly sales mailings, product brochures, all kinds of printed merchandise, websites (including an e-commerce site, weblogs and bulletin board systems), logos, business cards, vehicle graphics, tradeshow displays and more. Also did all print production and most product photography in-house, and art-directed several larger photo shoots. I worked directly with printers and was in charge of assuring visual QC from vendors all over the globe.

5/04 - 7/04 Chronicle Books | San Francisco, CA
Freelance design of a 300+ page cookbook, entitled The Big Book of Vegetarian. I was contacted by an Art Director at Chronicle who had seen my work and thought I'd be a good match for this book design project. I saw the piece through from MS Word document to printed piece, laying out each page individually and doing custom illustrations for each section, always adhering to Chronicle's high quality standards.

11/99 - 7/02 People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) | Norfolk, VA
Designed and maintained many of PETA's 30+ websites and its intranet; created original illustrations, features, ads, navigation schemes, and worked with the webmaster to ensure consistent design direction. PETA's two Webby Award nominations and People's Choice Award occurred during my time working there as a designer.

5/97 - 11/99 Charles S. Anderson Design Co. | Minneapolis, MN
Designed and assisted with various projects, (posters, ads, packaging, stickers, websites, digital photography and image manipulation); also wrote and edited copy as needed.

3/99 - 11/99 Compassionate Action for Animals | Minneapolis, MN
Designed logos, signage, posters, brochures, participated in group campaigns.
