Thanks to...

Vanessa Harris for looking after my cats while I'm away.

Scooterworks USA, the Genuine Scooter Company and the Draplin Design Company for their support and sponsorship.

Massimo from Scooterworks for his patience and help with the scooter, Will Christman at the Sign Shop of Racine for the outstanding paint work, Jay at Pirate Upholstery for the kick-ass seat, the International Scooter BBS for being a source of entertainment first and knowledge second, Stellaspeed for the good, friendly exchange of scooter ideas and info, Scoot.net for being such an asset to the scooter community, 2strokeBuzz for being updated again, Ryan Simonson for masterminding the "No Respect Tour of '99", one of my first great road trips and my first taste of the South, Aaron Draplin for his cross-country traveling inspiration, and my other friends and family for their support.

Everyone who has given advice, sage or stern, and everyone who I meet along the way who offers a kind word, a thumbs-up, or at least doesn't try to run me off the road.

PJ, I'd be glad to suggest some old tourist routes/dilapidated tourist attractions in Florida. As a fellow lover of old signage, I'm sure you'd be into some of the routes I've discovered.

Two great books to check out before you hit the south:
Dixie Before Disney by Tim Hollis
Roadside Paradise by Ken Breslauer

And, last but not least, if you haven't seen it, watch Searching for the Wrong-Eyed Jesus to get a taste of the backroads in the deep south.

Have a great trip, I can't say I'm not jealous.
Todd
