Stool O' Pine

Intro to Furniture Design: Our first real assignment was to design a stool using only wood. My design uses Pine (my favorite kind of tree) and shows an obvious Japanese influence in both the curved ends which are similar to "torii" gates, and the respect for the natural beauty of the wood grain, which is not soiled by painting or staining.

Trivia: Since the stool uses no nails or screws, it can be disassembled and put back together. The whole project only cost about $15.
