Loring Jazz flyer/ad/poster

An assignment for a graphic design class was to somehow promote live jazz at the eclectic Loring Cafe. Since the Loring fancies itself "bohemain" and has an ornate, antique decor, I chose to make a relief-printed poster in the old-world tradition of 19th-century europe.

Inspiration credit must be given to Ryan for his wonderful linoleum/woodcuts. To print correctly, everything (especially type!) must be carved backwards, so it's always surprising to see the printed version compared to the block.
