I attended the Gotham scooter rally in NYC in May, 2005. I stayed with friends Simon and Sondra in Williamsburg Brooklyn and met up with fellow Michigander and Paw Pawn Joseph X. Burke for a walking tour of northern Williamsburg, some of Queensbridge, Roosevelt Island, Midtown Manhattan and Chinatown NY. Great times in an amazing city, thanks to all involved.

		This master sign painter had made his mark all up and down 21st, I'll bet dollars to donuts he's from India or Pakistan based on that familiar lettering.

	As a special treat, Joe took me by the housing projects in Queensbridge where the rapper Nas grew up. This probably isn't it, but something similar nearby.

Queensbridge subway station had that "1970s Community College" feel of architecture.

Now we're on Roosevelt Island, used to be only accessible via tram. I believe this is the Queensborough Bridge. It's a handsome one.	Under the Queensborough Bridge, feeling insignificant.
