Hopefully I'll come back to this and elaborate more later, but a very brief rundown of the last month or two:
1) Lindsay and I went to Alaska for about 4 days to do a PETA demo about fishing. It was rather grey and cold in early November, but still beautiful and haunting. Things were kind of expensive, which isn't surprising given the remoteness of the place, and it was tough to adjust to the 4-hour time difference. We got to spend one day driving around outside of Anchorage and visited a nice Wildlife Conservation Center, a little glacier and "the strangest town in Alaska," Whittier, which is accessible mostly through a 3-mile, one-lane car/train toll tunnel. As usual I took far too many photos, and you can see them on Flickr: Alaska trip photos.
2) Lindsay and I also took a trip up to Michigan around Thanksgiving, but I'm so far behind on uploading photos that I haven't even started uploading those yet, and I'm headed back to Michigan in about 14 hours! We had a nice little visit, went to one of her cousin's weddings, got to visit Bobby in Grand Rapids, sacrificed a Tofurky and a couple of vegan pecan pies, etc. Nice little visit. I'm headed back to the Paw Paw area tomorrow to attend one of my cousin's weddings, Chris Coffinger is getting married. It'll be an early holiday visit, not going back around Xmas or New Year's.
3) I'm still rooting hard for President Dennis Kucinich, and my holidaze card this year is no exception. Sorry if you don't cotton to politics, but this country is a sinking ship and I'm just trying to bail a little water.
I was hoping to have my holiday cards designed and screenprinted before heading to MI, but that didn't happen, so I'm going to post PDFs of the files here for you to download if you're into that sort of thing. I will print and send some out via post, but I wanted to make them available for people's consumption (especially for other Kucinich fans to modify/use if they want...help yourself!). There are two alternate front designs, let me know which you prefer and whichever seems to be the favorite is the one I'll screenprint when I return. Colors are subject to change, I'm asking more about type treatment.
And the inside text (yearly update and call to action) rant/spread can be downloaded here. I apologize for it being so ugly and verbose, but I just had a lot to say, and that's just a taste of what I could say...sorry it's kind of a bummer, but we're seriously on the fast track to a nightmarish world the likes of which few Americans can fathom, and things are going to change whether you believe it or not...
So, happy holidays, and send me your addresses if you want one of these in the mail!
All my love, PJ

Thanks for all your help this summer. I hope we get to meet soon. ANd seriously we should put together "America by Scoot" book. Collaboration would make this much easier for both of us!
