In other important news, reassembly of the Ramblin' Man scooter continues, somewhat in earnest as the warm weather approaches. Still dating Jen and that is going well, we spent a weekend in Milwaukee around Valentine's day (for museums and stayed at a Bed/Breakfast) took a nice trip to Galena last weekend to visit her parents and I spent a day "snowskating" on the slopes like an idiot. I've been enjoying my new skateboard here and there in the basement of Jen's building too, though my old bones aren't as steady as they were in my youth.

Going to visit my mom in South Dakota in a couple of months, real excited about that, I haven't seen her since November of 2002, which is back before the internet was invented. I'll spend about a week with her, first visiting my grandparents in Aberdeen and then renting a car and taking a road trip though the Black Hills and points westward, Thelma-and-Louise style. She and I both need a vacation and this will be the first "one on one" time we've had...in about 12+ years?.

I baked a batch of vegan chocolate chip cookies last week, they were pretty damn good. I love baked goods and it's cheap to make your own if you have the supplies and patience. Need to start doing more of that. Still uploading shitloads of photos to Flickr, meanwhile completely ignoring my own website. Will be pulling some of those uploaded photos back on here soon, trust me...just don't hold your breath. If you check my Flickr site often it's almost like a visual "blaahgg" of sorts, with captions and keywords and all.

In political and possibly shocking news, you should look carefully consider this interesting evidence that 9/11 was NOT a "terror" attack by foreigners but rather a fabricated "attack" carried out by our own government to plant the seeds of fear and allow Americans to be walked over, militarized and have their rights taken away. Sounds impossible? Read more at www.physics911.net, watch the excellent Loose Change video (over an hour long but very good), see alsoWTC7.net, 9-11 Review, etc.

Also, in other world crisis "bummer" news, I've been reading a lot about an impending war with Iran and the very real possibility of a US economic collapse at the end of this month if Iran starts selling oil in Euro rather than US dollars (oil being one of the only things holding the dollar up to this point in the world economy stoked by GW Douche's amazing record of fiscal and policy wisdom, compassion, diplomacy and foreign peacemaking). I hope this doesn't happen, but if it does, our "American dream" of suburbia and car culture could collapse and give us another depression-like era, the likes of which we haven't seen since the 1930s, in other words a real shitstorm. Thanks, Prez!

On a lighter note, check out the cool stuff Matt Partridge is making out of felt now, order some shit up!

If the economy does collapse, I'll be found on the rails, with Gary, seeing the nation one last time.

I just finished reading a book titled "9/11 Revealed" and it gives some very plausible reasons to debate the integrity of the official story presented by the US government and it's traditional news media outlets. Whether you you buy into the conspiracy notion or not, it's clear that somethings aren't quite adding up when trying to explain the physical damage and destruction caused by the hijacked planes onto the Pentagon and WTC. In fact, it's quite horrendous to consider that, if only possibly, members of our gov't had anything to do with the 9/11 attacks whether in an active or passive role; but if they did have some involvement in the attacks, wouldn't you want to know and ultimately bring those perpetrators to justice?
