vegan victuals, part 1.

Friends, I'm glad to say that I've just had a little one-man "groundbreaking ceremony" on the long-overdue Vegan Eatin' section of this site. What you see is just a taste of what's to come. Just for Kurt and Vanessa, I started on the "American/Comfort/Soul Food" category today, and have plans for many others. I'm thinking Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese will eventually need separate pages, and so will desserts, junkfood, and "Guide to Vegan Asian Market Goodies and Meat Analogs." Once I've added some more content, I'll replace the STUDY arrow at the bottom (anyone ever get that far?) of all my pages with VEGAN, since I've never really done anything with STUDY anywho.

I'll leave you with a panoramic of the most historically-intact scene I could find of Chicago's once-sprawling "Packingtown" (slaughterhouse/stockyard/slum area), now vanished and turned into a nondescript industrial park...and a mixed metaphor from the cover of an obscure 80's action video: "Hell hath no fury, when you've nothing to lose!

Yeah! Very happy to see the vegan food section. Of course, I'm not a vegan, but I've been reading this site for about a year and have looked forward to the pictures - that and stories about scooter mayhem and any sort of debauchery.

Aaron Draplin, did you get the Wilco DVD? It's super nice, there is no time to spare...

Goddamnit Kurt, I encourage all comments, but Draplin's site has a comments section too...and I've noticed a conspicuous absence of Kurt-brand postings there recently, what gives? You got no love for West Coast? You got no love for Death Row?

I don't need any of ya.

Aaron's site is all about business right now, and he'd probably get pissed at me for writing something non "war commentary/opinion" related, and anyways, whenever I write him a comment, he doesn't respond to it. Nor would I expect him to respond to an e-mail since he's busy building his fucking money castle, so I thought for sure I could get his attention here. Plus, I am utilizing your site cause it's something new and fun, same sort of feeling as having a crush on that new girl at school, you know? You should get the Wilco DVD too, PJ. I am still amazed that you're not into them...
