gas, grass, or ass.

"Nobody rides for free." This will appear on my "rat" scooter in some form, and so will an evil, awful, terror-inspiring Grim Reaper which will be drawn by Ryan, possibly in white-out, on the ironing-board sissy bar/backrest. I found a damn good seat at Throttle Masters, which I will go back for (got rushed out since they were closing early, and wanted to sleep on it). It will take some SERIOUS modification to fit on a Vespa frame, but I'll manage, and it will be beautiful. I will set up a gallery of both my scooter's progress over time, and also of "inspiration" rat bikes that I like. Additionally, I need to set up a dedicated "vegan food" section to keep track of all my vittles, since making links in this weblog is harder and it just needs to all be in one place anyway. Gotta update the signs section too...so many gems I'm sitting on, it's a shame.

I can't thank all of my pirate friends enough for getting the comments section off to an exemplary start, I encourage all bickering, slander, cursewords, thrills, truck-trading, and graft that can be carried out in this forum.

I would like to eat every goddamn morsel of that meal again. The only thing that wasn't outstanding was the okra dish, which is the dark stuff in the upper center of Round 2. There were 4 rounds of buffet before all was said and done, as well as a scary, no-hold-barred fistfight between our server (a slight young Indian guy) and a kitchen worker (an older Mexican guy). They were knocking shit over and shouting like mad, and I feared one was going to grab a knife and stab the other. My mom saw someone get stabbed with a car antenna when she was growing up in Chicago. Some tough customers down here...

Ah, the Car Town sign. I've been meaning to take a photo of that for ages. I always pass it on the way to the practice space.

Also, PJ, I've gone to Alice & Friends twice now, and while the food is amazing, the wait is horrendous. It's like you forget about the wait because the food is so damn good. A fine fine line there.

I think Ryno should paint the "No one rides for free" slogan with the image he did of Jesus and 9/11.
