I spend at least 12 hours a day in front of this computer, yet I still have a hard time staying on top of things like responding to e-mail, updating my website, etc. I have been working a lot of hours lately towards the end of completing the Scooterworks catalog, a tall order for one person and a "skeleton crew" of info-providers. I will be glad when it's over, but probably not fully satisfied with the end result, as it's been rush-rush-rush and I can't finesse every inch of all 80 or so pages given the thousands of parts, photos, descriptions...and serious time constraints.
In other news, V and I are preparing as best we can for our trip to India in April. Tickets will probably be purchased early next week; we'll be gone for 9 days or so. Should be another fantastic and inspirational trip, though surely one rife with oppressive heat, sickening poverty and gastrointestinal maladies.
The scooter is still down-for-the-count and I'm riding my bicycle these last few days. It seems that as soon as one problem is bested, another arises in some other area. We got the front brake fixed and the carburetor issues ironed-out only to find that the scooter bogs down under throttle. Who knows what the fucking culprit is in this case, probably something in the rotten goddamn innards. Excellent. Speaking of my love affair with scooters, I've updated (finally, after 2 years) my scooter photos page.
I'm proud not to be a Friendster whore. I scorn motherfuckers who troll for any friends who'll have 'em, as a self-esteem boost. Pathetic. I've de-friendstered some decent folk and not accepted others, just to keep my goddamn numbers low. 21 strong, less is more my friends.
Posted by pj at February 26, 2004 09:54 PMYes -- I, too, share your disdain for Friendster. When an ex-girlfriend added me several months back, I knew something was seriously awry: "I haven't spoken to her in years, she is hardly my friend." They were good times, though. Good times with Friendster.
Wait, no. Absolutely not. Complete bullshit. Waste of internet space. So much room wasted on what could've been a Brian Boitano tribute or some shit.
Fuck,
-joe.
brian boitano OR internet porn. let's face it, internet porn has given more hours of enjoyment than friendster ever has.

Posted by: Naz at March 2, 2004 03:36 PMfuck this shit, I've been at work today for almost 16 hours, averaging more than 70 a week. still so much to do...no time lately for anything but work and sleep. Not eating right, letting every other aspect of life fall through the cracks. I hate it. Some projects are just too big for a motherfucker.
Posted by: pj at March 12, 2004 12:46 AMKeep on truckin' my friend. We'll see you on the other side once you're done with the catalog behemoth.
