Feck Auf

Short and sweet today, my friends. Have had a real busy week, a fairly eventful weekend, some good times with the girl, some motorcycle trade show action, and a LOT of extra hours at work.

The scooter gave me trouble for about two months straight but seems well enough now after Massimo (from Scooterworks) did some work on her. He tuned up and did surgery on some bodgy electrical work and got my new carburetor whistlin' Dixie instead of coughing up sick clouds of oily smoke. A real hero and one of the nicest fellows you'll ever meet, I salute Massimo and his high-quality work.

My new $230 jacket finally arrived, and I will post a photo soon as I fashion it into something more my own. Patches displaying cursewords and sinister imagery will be displayed proudly, including a few that I've designed. This one is waterproof and armored, so it'll be just the ticket when I'm flying over the hood of a cellphone-yapping soccer mom's SUV during a downpour.

This weekend saw viewings of High Plains Drifter and Pirates of the Carribean, both fine movies. It also saw a new membership at a halfway-decent video store, so expect a lot more worthwhile movie reviews in the future, as I once again have access to foreign, cult, and independent films.

The days are getting noticeably longer, but you'd never know spring was approaching from the weather... incessantly cold and windy, always threatning snow and with no relief in sight. I watch the extended forecasts with high hopes, but it's like a broken record. Got the fever to do some serious riding and can't wait until the weather is more agreeable and I can take that stupid-ass cape off of the scooter.

Saw the Dealer parked outside Carol's tonight with two other scooters while I was heading home from a small GB staff meeting at Kopi. Glad to hear Massimo worked his Italian magic and tamed the beast.

For now.

Now that the death dealer is back in running order, pj is down for the count. Naz, do me a favor and take the boy out for some hot soup or tea this weekend. I don't think Heather is the mothering sort.

Thanks

Hey, PJ. Hope all's well w/ u. Dan showed me your site. Have you seen "Chew on This?" - new punchy DVD re: the usual. Would you like copies and/or, being a techie, wld u also consider linking it or whatever that is from your site? It is getting people to think quite a bit! It's on our site now. Your scooter parking place is still preserved for your next visit/return to working life here. Best, IEN
