Winter has descended upon us with the full compliment of its misery and ugliness. Took a short walk today and was physically reminded of some cold moments outdoors as a child breathing the chill Michigan air. Ice fishing with my grandfather, stacking cords of wood, taking my sled down a hill. This air gets into your lungs and bites; not invisible like normal air. Conscious of each breath. I'm not a fan of winter and have already had my fill of it this year. Thanks, it was great...see you again next year...now fuck off. Unfortunately I've got about 3 solid months of this bullshit to cringe through and scowl at.
My shitty holiday cards are printed and I've started filling them out. No real surprises there. If you're a good friend of mine, there's a chance you're getting one, so you can rejoice. I've got 90+ people on the list for one, and that's accounts for the balance of what I printed, so if I didn't already think of you, chances are you won't get one. That's okay too, time marches on.
Koibito aenakute sabishii. Sugu ni miru to I hope so.
Posted by pj at December 11, 2003 06:57 PMWow. Nice and ugly post, pj. Where's your girlfriend to cheer you up? Has she not been doing her "duties?"
Posted by: dorothy at December 12, 2003 08:57 AMDorothy, my girlfriend is a Grade-A Master Champion and she goes above and beyond her "duties." She and I do live in different freezing cold midwestern cities, but that problem will be fixed soon enough.

Well, sir, all I can do is cross my fingers that I am on your list. Oh, to be one of the elite..
