I'm back from my scooter trip to Michigan. Sorry, but I've already lost interest in telling the story, so pardon the lackluster recap. About 4 hours travel time each way, 135 miles from here to there, cruising speeds around 53mph (not nearly fast enough), burning a gallon of gas every 60 miles, one near-collision with a fox at nighttime on a country road, no flea market action, no stripper clubs, a panic at almost running out of gas near Gary, IN, old friends, good food, family, etc.
I've now posted a page of some photos from my trip home.
The old home town, still looks the same...
Posted by pj at August 13, 2003 08:16 PMHow are the Hackenberg's? Paul and Isac? I hope you had a good time besides the long scooter ride.
You didn't run into "Tatsu" on the road at night? or see him snatchin food out of the cooler on your dad's backyard?
