goddamn deathdealer

Ugh. I didn't make it to either of the things I planned on going to tonight, the (Earthsave core group meeting OR Dave Awl's "Patriotically Incorrect" show), because the scooter died, so I had to fiddle, sweet-talk and finally cuss at it for an hour at a gas station (to no avail) and then push it a mile and a half back to Scooterworks, where hopefully the problem can be solved tomorrow. The Rockford rally is fast approaching and I'm not very confident in my scooter based on the last two days of riding...it was amazing at first, but something went downhill fast and the one or two things we've tried haven't solved it.

In less-shitty news, I went to a friendster get-together last night at Rock-A-Tiki in Wanker Park. That was a decent time, met some good folks. Tomorrow I'm meeting a stranger for dinner, a girl who found my site somehow and e-mailed me. She's vegan too and crafts nice e-mails. That should be fun, though I may be riding my bicycle if things keep up with the scooter...

Did I ever mention Carolyn Swiszcz and her wonderful paintings? Probably not recently enough. If you want you can buy me one of her pieces, I wouldn't mind that at all. She went to MCAD too and is one of my favorite painters, along with the man you love to hate, Ryan "Dirty Hands" Simonson. While we're at it, who could forget Keiko "Road Trip" Ishii?

Now I'm going to ride my bicycle home to do laundry and spend time with the cats. Talk to you later.

ps: No matter how I struggle and strive...I'll never get outta this world alive.

A friendster get together? How was that? Oh, also, tomorrow, Double Door, if you're up for it. I'll check in with ya.

Hey, Hoss.
Thanks for mentioning me. Its real sweet.

But let us not forget some of the brilliant, outstanding artists who too often go unseen. Geniuses like Bill Friend ( http://www.billswoodart.com/ ) , the mysterious R. Bishop ( http://www.fantasy-art.co.uk/ ), the enigmatic Terry Ray Flowers ( http://boxartgospel.com/ ), the passionate Walter Gabrielson ( http://www.RomanticVisions.NET/ ), the marvelous Diana Defries ( http://www.scribbler.org/ ), the humorous Lee Bullen ( http://www.leebullen.com/ ), the stunning Jeffrey Michael Wilkie ( www.jeffwilkie.com/ wildlife.htm ), the heart-stopping "Alco" ( http://www.alco-menpictures.com/entrance.htm ), or these anonymous statuettes ( http://www.catholicshopper.com/products/inspirational_sport_statues.html ).

These artistic minds really put me to shame.

It'd be nice if those URLs would just turn into buttons like they do on everybody else's site. Your shit be weak, dude.

Posted by: Sea-Man at July 9, 2003 10:37 PM

Ryno, you'll notice that your links have been converted, crybaby. From now on they'll auto-link, but because MovableType works in mysterious ways, this means that people can no longer do bold, italics, etc. I also don't know why the links don't launch in new windows like they do in Draplin's comments. I hate the web.

Someone give me money so that I can hire Naz and Cam, both "the best in the biz," to collaborate and build me a real website...one that looks good AND has full, kick-your-ass-up-and-down-the-block functionality. I don't care enough about it to spend a lot of time trying to figure it all out, I'm sorry.

Dude. You worked for two years as a web dick. I'm ashamed of your ineptitude with matters of the 'net. Hang your head and cry, fool.

I want my shit to open in new windows and be bold, underlined, itallic, and hot pink.

This site is wack. I'm never surfing here again.

I do not want to hard wire my cb into my car, rather I would like to be able plug it into the cig. lighter. I know you can buy a harness to do this, but I do not know where. I went to the rat shack and told the nice fellow what I needed and he looked at my like I had thee heads. He then proceeded to tell me he did not have one.
